A Lucky Draw....?

Do you remember the day you were born...? Seeing the first rays of the sun...? Uttering your first cry?
I bet you dont..But you will definitely be sure that there were expert obstetricians and nurses to monitor your entry into this beautiful world...
Your father must have waited restlessly to receive you into his arms.
And finally beside your mother, beside her caresses, you must have fallen into a deep slumber...

It must have been a lucky dip... Thou shall live in this body....He must have said...
And you, unawares, born unto love, care, security. What if your lot was a fraction late..? or early...?
How would it have been.... To be born where you are not wanted.... Into hands ready to strangle.... Onto the doorsteps of an orphan's asylum....?

We preach of equality... We definitely are, in the eyes of our creator.
What can we be proud about, mortal chunks of flesh...?
If he decides to call you back this moment how better are you from the soul next to you..? or worse...?

Brilliant... wow that's a different perspective to think from..

and i do agree, what's the point in judging others.. but then again, God would have thought about that too, wouldn't he? :)

Makes you wonder, doesn't it...?

Every little thing that happens...happens for a reason...

Maybe that's what makes us who we are...Not just our choices or situations...a million strands woven into the fabric of life...and even one of them can change the entire design...makes you wonder...about a lot of things...

"What if your lot was a fraction late..? or early...?"...exactly...what if...?

Puts things into perspective...about our place in this complex weave...doesn't it...? Just a strand...and yet so unique...

Wow..amazing thought Jiya!

Its so scary...what if my destiny was not this?

But I can rightly say "Mine was a "LUCKY" dip"...blessed to be amongst people so good ! :)

@Anoop... Yes.. He would 've definitely thought about it...As a means for us to finally realise how weak we are..how ignorant we are...
Cuz i believe the weakest link in us s that we judge and then we regret... we judge and then we find it hard to erase the consequences... we judge and we lose precious moments of life....

Nice thought! :)

To think 'what if it was the other way round' is the whole key to understanding what life is!

But it's all planned by Him. We're all here for a purpose, even if we are here just for a moment!

Somehow, I felt the article remains incomplete. You just put forward the idea and before it even got into my head and started making some noise, you called it the wraps! Should've given some more openings to contemplate. And, try to keep your punctuations intact always, even if for leisure writing.

We grow better with time, darl! It is inevitable for a human not to judge his fellow being. That's how we're made to be. But when he realises how futile life would be with such acts, he betters once and for all. We have to go through the pain of making mistakes, so as to not repeat them again.

Anyways, a seldom-pondered-upon notion put forward! Good thinking! :)

Waiting for the next blog....

That was a nice post. It had a bit of philosophy that I like and think about:-). Now let me go into the lucky draw. According to me, yes, I was very lucky in the draw. Whenever something bad happens, what I do is, i look at another section of society who has more suffering and I am relaxed, thinking that how lucky I am compared to them. About lucky draw a fraction late.. There would have been a lot of difference. But you may not even realize that. If you are born as an orphan, you might be more luckier or happier than a person born as blind or at least you can think like that. There would be suffering and problems for everyone. But what matters is how they take it and handle it.
As u told we need not be proud of anything. "If he decides to call you back this moment how better are you from the soul next to you" is true. Rather than being proud, we have to do something in the life so that, when he calls us back, we go back being satisfied that we have accomplished something good in our life.

A differnt and though provoking perspective.

Should i get better than the souls next to me or should i get some worse souls next to me? I think the latter is easier, beacuse i am surrounded by some very good souls;)

It a good one.

@Renu.. It was just a random thought.. :) It has started to make noise... Let it yell.. :)

@Binu... When we come to think about it, how people take and handle things will also depend on their lot..Isn't it...?

@Ghosh... I guess all of us can take it as a compliment..! Thank you! :D

A sweet little introspective post.

"If he decides to call you back this moment how better are you from the soul next to you..? or worse...?"

Well, my take on it would be - Think Good, Do Good & Wish Good(for others), one would then have a clear answer to such questions in life. :)
